Yes. Personal MD offers a complimentary 30-minute Meet and Greet with your potential physician. The practice typically schedules these within 2-5 business days. Personal MD accepts most major insurance plans and Medicare. Patients with deductibles or copays through their health plan remain responsible for those costs. The practice does not accept Medicaid. If you have a Marketplace plan, raise it during your Meet and Greet and the team will confirm network status.
Many health savings and flexible spending accounts cover concierge membership fees, but eligibility depends on your specific carrier. Personal MD recommends contacting your plan directly to confirm. If approved, you can apply those funds toward your annual retainer.
Your first visit runs 90 minutes. Standard follow-up appointments are 60 minutes. Sick visits run 30 minutes. Lab draws and injection appointments typically take under 15 minutes. The practice keeps its patient panel smaller so each visit stays unhurried.
Yes. Personal MD provides 24/7 physician availability by phone or text. Each member receives direct access to their physician's cell phone number. For life-threatening emergencies, call 911 immediately. For urgent questions about your condition or the right level of care, call the practice first.
Yes to both. The practice offers telehealth appointments through its HIPAA-compliant health portal, powered by Athena Health. Most Personal MD patients wait less than 5 minutes in the waiting room. Many patients move directly to an exam room at check-in. The practice also keeps a separate sick room for potentially contagious patients.
