Expedition Health and Pediatrics

Membership fees at Expedition Health and Pediatrics are per child and based on age. Children ages zero to two cost $130 per month, ages two to five cost $90 per month, and children five and older cost $70 per month. Families pay a maximum of $270 per month regardless of how many children enroll. A one-time $100 registration fee applies per family, though Expedition waives this fee for the first 100 families through its Founder's Discount.

Expedition does not bill insurance for membership services. Families pay a monthly membership fee directly. For immunizations, the practice participates in the Vaccines for Children program for eligible patients and partners with a local facility to bill insurance for privately insured patients. For labs or imaging outside the clinic, families may use their insurance at any facility they choose.

Families can register directly through the practice website. Expedition also offers a free Base Camp Visit for families who want to tour the clinic and meet Dr. Southard before committing. Base Camp Visits carry no pressure and require no commitment.

Members receive unlimited in-person and virtual visits, well-child checkups, same or next business day sick visits, developmental and behavioral screenings, and direct communication with Dr. Southard. Select in-office labs and procedures, including strep and flu testing and earwax removal, are also part of the membership.

Yes. Members contact Dr. Southard by phone or through the SigmaMD patient app. The app also allows families to access health records and schedule appointments. Expedition designs communication to keep families closely connected to care without phone trees or intake forms.

Yes. Dr. Southard offers telemedicine visits for member families. Families choose the setting that works best for them, whether in-office, virtual, or at home.

Yes. Expedition includes home visits for newborns through the one-month well visit for families within 30 minutes of the Conway clinic. After that milestone, Dr. Southard may offer optional home visits for an additional fee when scheduling allows.

Yes. Expedition offers a one-time Scout Visit for $200 per child. This problem-focused visit does not include ongoing follow-up care. If the family enrolls in a membership within 14 days of the Scout Visit, Expedition credits the $200 toward registration and membership fees.

Expedition requires a three-month initial commitment. After that period, memberships continue month-to-month with no long-term contract. Families may cancel anytime after the three-month minimum with 30 days notice.

Yes. Dr. Southard treats minor lacerations using skin adhesive, staples, or sutures depending on the wound. He evaluates each injury in person first to confirm the clinic can treat it safely. The procedure is included in membership with a small materials fee. Expedition also performs circumcisions for boys up to eight weeks of age for both members and non-members.
