About
At Adwuma Family Medicine, Dr. Giselle Argento-Berrio delivers direct primary care rooted in equity, trust, and genuine relationships. The practice takes its name from the Akan word "Adwuma" (pronounced ah-joo-mah), meaning "hustle" or "work" in the Twi language of West Africa. That name carries a promise: to work collaboratively with patients, honoring their lived experiences and integrating their bodily wisdom with medical knowledge. Adwuma is a BIPOC-owned practice based in Madison, Wisconsin, serving patients across Wisconsin and Illinois via telehealth.
The practice covers an exceptionally broad scope of care. Dr. Argento-Berrio provides family medicine, chronic disease management, gynecological care, prenatal care up to 28 weeks, gender affirming care, mental health treatment, and in-office procedures including dermoscopy and ear acupuncture using the NADA protocol. Adwuma partners with SRG Health Labs, a Black-owned independent lab, to pass wholesale lab pricing directly to patients. The practice also negotiates wholesale medication pricing for members. Membership starts at $45 per month, with visit fees billed separately. Appointments run 60 minutes, and home visits serve patients within Dane County. Enrollment and billing are available in both English and Spanish.
