Dr. Zachary Lyons built his path to medicine through personal experience. Growing up as the son of family physician Dr. Michael Lyons, he witnessed firsthand the bonds a doctor can form with patients. He shadowed clinicians at Abington Hospital and Lancaster General Hospital before pursuing his medical degree.

Dr. Lyons earned his undergraduate degree at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA, graduating in 2009. He then joined the charter class at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton, PA. There, peers and faculty selected him for the Gold Humanism Honor Society, honoring his clinical and interpersonal skills. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Abington Jefferson Hospital, returning to his hometown to train. In 2016, he fulfilled a longtime professional goal by joining his father, Dr. Michael Lyons, to co-found Lyons Family Medicine. His practice centers on long-term, meaningful relationships with every patient he serves.
