About

Dr. William Hobbs has deep roots on the Olympic Peninsula. His mother grew up as a Sequim farm girl, and his family's ties to the area stretch back to the late 1880s on her side. After his father retired from the US Navy, the family settled in Port Townsend, where Dr. Hobbs grew up. He earned a degree in Zoology from the University of Washington in 1980, then went on to the University of Washington Medical School, graduating in 1984.

Dr. Hobbs completed his internship in Spokane, Washington, and his Internal Medicine residency in Las Vegas, Nevada. He spent 18 months on the faculty of the University of Nevada School of Medicine, then six years in private internal medicine practice in Las Vegas. After his two sons were born, he returned to the Olympic Peninsula to raise them in the region he knew well. He has practiced in Port Angeles since 2003. He and his wife KayC enjoy hiking, backpacking, cycling, jogging, and walking their dog Merlin. Dr. Divinsky will assume his patients beginning in 2027.
