About

Taryn L. Dubin, MD, FAAP grew up in Los Angeles and traces her passion for pediatrics to her own childhood doctor, who showed her how deeply a pediatrician shapes a family's life. She studied Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology at Emory University, then worked as an emergency department scribe before traveling to Mae Sariang, Thailand to join a Trauma Management Training Program for ethnic minority health workers from Eastern Myanmar. She attended the University of Arizona College of Medicine, where she participated in the Commitment to the Underserved People Distinction track, delivering care and leading health programs for medically underserved communities. She also spent a summer conducting research at Seattle Children's Hospital.

Dr. Dubin completed her residency at the University of California Irvine/Children's Hospital of Orange County Pediatric Residency Program, where she was actively involved in the local American Academy of Pediatrics chapter. Her peers selected her to stay on as chief resident for a full additional year following graduation.
