About
Dr. Tam Bui was born in Vietnam and escaped to the Philippines by boat at age 5 before reuniting with his father in Kent, WA. He joined the United States Navy as a Corpsman after high school, then earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Political Science from the University of Washington. He received his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL, through the same HPSP scholarship program as his wife.
Dr. Bui completed an Internal Medicine Internship at Naval Medical Center San Diego and a Family Medicine Residency at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. After transitioning to the Army in 2018, he pursued a second residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He also completed Medical Acupuncture training during residency and later sought additional training in Prolotherapy and Perineural Injection Therapy. He served as Regimental Surgeon for 5th Marines at Camp Pendleton. Dr. Bui holds board certifications in both Family Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He takes a whole-body approach to pain, combining acupuncture, manual medicine, and functional medicine to treat acute and chronic injuries. He retired from the Army in 2025 to join Simply Health DP3 full time.
