Dr. Park focuses on chronic disease management, metabolic conditions, and women's health. She treats diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, thyroid disorders, obesity, asthma, COPD, anxiety, depression, heart failure, chronic kidney disease, GERD, migraines, arthritis, osteoporosis, anemia, sleep disorders, and autoimmune disease. She also provides perimenopause and menopause management and women's preventive care.

Yes. Dr. Park holds board certification in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a distinction recognizing clinical excellence and professional achievement.

Dr. Park earned her undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and her medical degree from the University of Michigan. She completed her residency at Northwestern University. She later practiced and taught at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond before founding Westwood Direct Primary Care.

Dr. Park brings nearly 30 years of primary care experience to her patients. She spent a significant portion of that career at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she both practiced medicine and taught. She founded Westwood Direct Primary Care in 2026 to practice in a more relationship-centered setting.

Dr. Park believes medicine works best when the relationship comes first. She takes an unhurried, attentive approach to every visit and focuses on treating the whole person, not the chart. Her 2025 certification in Theology, Medicine, and Culture from Duke Divinity School reflects her conviction that lasting health requires attention to body, mind, and meaning.

Yes. Women's health is one of Dr. Park's core clinical focuses. She provides perimenopause and menopause management, contraception counseling, gynecologic exams, Pap smears, preconception counseling, and sexual health services. She also manages weight and metabolic concerns that often intersect with women's hormonal health.

Dr. Park wanted to build a practice where she could spend more time listening to patients, answering questions, and forming lasting relationships. She co-founded RAMble, a community walking wellness program at VCU, before launching Westwood. Both reflect the same core belief: that connection and community are essential to good health.

Westwood Direct Primary Care does not accept Medicare patients at opening. Dr. Park expects to begin accepting Medicare patients on October 1, 2026. Prospective Medicare patients can submit their contact information to receive notification when enrollment opens.
