About
Susan C. Lee, MD grew up in Austell, Georgia, asking her doctors questions they rarely had time to answer. That childhood experience planted a clear ambition: become the kind of family medicine doctor who takes the time to explain, listen, and truly understand each patient. She earned her BS in Applied Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating Magna Cum Laude after serving as valedictorian at Joseph T. Walker High School in Marietta. She then received her MD and completed her residency in Family Practice at the Medical College of Georgia.
After residency, Dr. Lee moved to Idaho, where she worked in urgent care, a university student health center, and served as medical director of both a nursing home and a state clinic. She later returned to Georgia and worked for hospital-owned and corporate medical practices before founding Out of the Box Direct Primary Care. With over 25 years of practicing medicine, she focuses on explaining conditions clearly, answering every question, and understanding each patient as an individual. She has opted out of Medicare. Outside the office, Dr. Lee enjoys tennis, hiking, camping, horseback riding, swimming, painting, calligraphy, cooking, and gardening. She lives in Woodstock with her husband John, their two young adult children, two dogs, and a cat.
