Dr. Mumtaz treats the full spectrum of autoimmune and inflammatory rheumatic diseases. Her scope includes inflammatory arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis; connective tissue diseases including lupus, Sjögren's syndrome, and scleroderma; vasculitides; inflammatory myopathies; and musculoskeletal conditions like gout, osteoporosis, and fibromyalgia. She also manages rare conditions including adult-onset Still's disease, relapsing polychondritis, and Familial Mediterranean Fever.

Dr. Mumtaz completed her rheumatology fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, finishing in 2025. Before fellowship, she trained in internal medicine at the University of California, San Francisco at Fresno and completed an internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She earned her medical degree from Aga Khan University Medical College.
