About

Dr. Justin Burkholder is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and the founder of Olympic Concierge Medicine in Tampa Bay. He holds board certification from the American Board of Emergency Medicine and completed his residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. There he treated patients from around the world, including professional athletes and public figures. His residency training also took him to the Ryder Trauma Center, where he trained alongside the US Military, and to Jackson Memorial Hospital, the nation's second largest hospital.

Before medical school, Dr. Burkholder worked at GlaxoSmithKline alongside the President of the American Academy of Preventive Medicine. In that role, he helped oversee the health of more than 100,000 employees across the company's US headquarters in Philadelphia and South American headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. That early experience in large-scale preventive health strategy shaped his clinical philosophy. He later served as a courtside physician for Olympians at the 2016 Rio Olympics and worked on the front lines during Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Ian, the Zika epidemic, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Burkholder is passionate about longevity, metabolic health, cardiovascular risk reduction, hormone optimization, cognitive protection, and nutrition. A former Division I collegiate athlete, he brings the same discipline to patient care that he developed in sport. He lives in Tampa with his wife Kelsey, their two children Atlas and Capri, and their Labrador Retriever Sedona.
