About
Dr. Scott Campbell founded My Personal Physician in 2005 and has spent over 20 years refining a model of personalized, prevention-first medicine. Born in New Zealand, he moved to Texas at age 12 and later earned a psychology degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992. Between college and medical school, he lived and worked in Europe and New York City, contributing to early research into treatments for Pediatric HIV. He then attended the University of North Texas Medical School in Fort Worth, graduating in 1998 in the top 10 percent of his class.
Dr. Campbell began a General Surgery residency at St. Luke's in Denver before transferring to Emergency Medicine at Memorial Hermann in Houston, a Level 1 trauma center handling more than 125,000 visits per year. That ER training sharpened his diagnostic instincts and taught him to listen carefully to patients he was meeting for the first time. He credits that skill as central to his philosophy: patients always give you the answer to their own problems when you truly listen. Dr. Campbell focuses on family medicine, preventive medicine, and chronic disease management. He and his wife have been married over 25 years and have four children.
