Dr. Rick Michael grew up in Shreveport and earned his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University. He went on to medical school at UT Health Science Center at Houston. His residency training combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University, where the program selected him as Chief Resident. He returned to Shreveport in 2002 and practiced in a variety of clinical settings before assuming leadership of SureAccess MD in 2015.

Dr. Michael holds board certification in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He takes a holistic approach to patient care, stays current with emerging research, and makes himself available when patients have needs outside scheduled visits.
