About

Richard (Rick) Larew, MD brings more than four decades of medical experience to his Iowa City practice. He earned his undergraduate degree in Botany with Honors from the University of Iowa in 1978, then completed his medical degree there in 1982. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

Dr. Larew holds board certification in Internal Medicine and built his career across several respected clinical settings. He practiced Internal Medicine at Harwood Medical Clinic in Milwaukee, then Occupational Medicine at Arnett Clinic in West Lafayette, Indiana, before spending nearly three decades in Iowa City at Towncrest Internal Medicine and Mercy Towncrest Internal Medicine. He founded Larew Internal Medicine in 2019, establishing Eastern Iowa's first concierge medicine practice. Concierge Medicine Today named him a 2025-26 Top Physician Leader in Concierge Medicine.
