About
Dr. Rebecca Lee Perlow has spent more than four decades committed to women's health, beginning her career as a registered nurse in labor and delivery at Providence Tarzana Medical Center in 1982. She worked night shifts in the L&D unit while earning her Bachelor of Arts in Cellular and Molecular Biology from California State University, Northridge. She then pursued medicine at Western University of Health Sciences, graduating at the top of her class with an award for dedication to women's health. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 1993 and achieved board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2000. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists named her a Fellow in 1997.
Dr. Perlow holds memberships in a wide range of professional organizations, including the North American Menopause Society, the National Lipid Association, the International Society for Sexual Medicine, the Obesity Medicine Association, and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. Her clinical passions span obstetrics, gynecology, menopause, sexual medicine, lipid management, and care for gender diverse patients. She took the helm of Perlow Medical Corporation as CEO in 2020 and has run an intentionally small practice ever since, keeping her panel limited so each patient receives her full attention. She describes her goal simply: to help patients feel safe and heard. Outside the office, she practices daily mindfulness using the Headspace app and recommends it to her patients.
