Dr. Paul Jones grew up in Kingston, Jamaica and became an American citizen in 1984. S. Summa Cum Laude with Honors from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, then went on to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at BayFront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida, where his peers recognized him with the Charles Aucreman Art of Medicine Award. P. designation as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Jones moved to Naples in 1990 and has practiced here ever since. He co-founded Anchor Health Centers in 1997 and served as its president through 2002. From 2014 to 2018, he chaired the Department of Family Medicine at Naples Community Hospital. His colleagues named him NCH Physician of the Year in 2014, and he has served as President of the Medical Staff at NCH since that year, leading a group of roughly 600 physicians. His community involvement runs deep. He has served as president of both the North Naples and Sunset Rotary Clubs, earning Rotarian of the Year honors in 2008. He volunteers monthly at the Neighborhood Health Clinic alongside his wife Susan, who manages the practice and runs Attentive Nursing Care. He helped build an asthma clinic, a school, a water project, and a playground in Jamaica, and he founded the Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf there. Junior Achievement inducted him into its Business Hall of Fame in 2004. Outside medicine, Dr. Jones enjoys tennis, fishing, boating, and travel with his family.
