Dr. Bures completed his Family Medicine Internship at Navy Hospital Jacksonville. He then served as Battalion Surgeon with the 1st Battalion 2nd Marines before completing his Family Medicine Residency with University Hospitals Regional Hospitals. He returned to military service as Battalion Surgeon with the 1st Battalion 2nd Marines and later as Regimental Surgeon of the 2nd Marine Regiment.
