About
Paul Abramson, MD, founded My Doctor Medical Group in 2008 and serves as its Medical Director. His path to medicine began at Stanford, where he earned both a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering. He later enrolled at UCSF School of Medicine, drawn more to listening and helping people than to engineering research. Medicine runs deep in his family: his grandfather and great-grandfather served as physicians and surgeons in both World Wars.
Dr. Abramson holds board certifications in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine. He was among the first physicians in the Bay Area to adopt buprenorphine treatment for opioid use disorder, and he has treated patients with alcohol and substance use disorders for over 15 years. He completed a Senior Residential Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine under Dr. Andrew Weil. He also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor at UCSF. His clinical interests span precision medicine, addiction medicine, complex diagnostics, quantified self-tracking, and longevity. He developed the practice's Quant Coach program after using personal self-tracking to resolve his own recurrent headaches. He also performs bone marrow aspiration procedures on-site for stem cell banking through Forever Labs.
