Dr. Nova Law grew up in Lowndes County, Alabama before her family relocated to Long Beach, California when she was ten. She earned her undergraduate degree from UCLA and her medical degree from Michigan State University - College of Human Medicine. Her residency in Family Practice at University Hospitals of Cleveland/Case Western Reserve University earned her the title of Most Honored Resident from the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Law expanded her clinical training through electives at Harvard Medical School, the University of Zimbabwe, Ghana Medical School in Ghana, West Africa, and Carraway and Baptist Princeton in Birmingham. She holds board certification in Family Practice and serves as Medical Director of Nova Essence Medispa. Her interest in alternative medicine traces to childhood lessons in natural remedies from her mother and maternal grandfather. She has made home visits to elderly Birmingham patients since 2003 and has practiced the direct primary care model since 2012. Dr. Law is known for diagnosing complex medical problems, drawing patients from around the world.
