Dr. Mike Lesniak, MD, MPH is a board-certified Family Medicine physician and the founder of Good Works DPC in Milford, OH. He earned his MD from Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA, graduating in 2009. He completed his Family Medicine residency at The Washington Hospital in Washington, PA, beginning in July 2010. That program was unopposed, meaning Dr. Lesniak trained across the ER, hospital floor, labor and delivery, pediatrics, mental health, and the ICU. He also holds a Master of Public Health with a focus on Disaster Management and Mitigation, which he earned with honors from Benedictine University in 2016. Before medicine, Dr. Lesniak served six years in the United States Coast Guard beginning in 1994. He worked as an Avionics Technician on HH-65 Dolphin helicopters at USCG Air Station San Francisco and crewed helicopters for more than 3,000 hours. That service, and early life experiences with adversity and hardship, shaped his commitment to helping people across all walks of life. Dr. Lesniak holds certifications as a DOT Medical Examiner and as a Buprenorphine prescriber for opiate use disorder treatment. He completed the Columbia University Obesity Medicine Course in 2021. He is passionate about addiction medicine, obesity care, mental health, and LGBTQ+ affirming care. Outside the clinic, he enjoys working on old cars and motorcycles, playing guitar and bass, and spending time with his wife April and their four children.
