He also provides Covid testing and handles minor sports injuries. His emergency medicine background means he can manage complex and urgent situations that extend well beyond typical primary care.

Yes. Dr. Holman holds board certification from the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He also earned fellowship status in the American College of Emergency Medicine. He completed his residency at UCSD, where he received both Chief Resident and Resident of the Year recognition in 2012.

Dr. Holman studied philosophy at Franciscan University before completing premedical sciences at The Ohio State University. He earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He then completed his internship and residency at UCSD. His training also included pediatric emergency medicine at Rady Children's Hospital and flight physician work with Mercy Air Helicopter Ambulance.

Dr. Holman typically works alongside each member's existing primary care physician. He fills the role of after-hours resource, house call physician, and urgent care provider. This arrangement gives members a direct clinical contact for issues that arise between scheduled appointments or outside regular office hours.

Yes. Dr. Holman offers individualized health planning that includes hormone analysis, DNA sequencing, and microbiome analysis. He also coordinates weight-loss pharmacology, nutritionist consultations, and in-home acupuncturist visits. These services let members pursue proactive health goals with the same physician they call for acute needs.

Dr. Holman currently works as an attending physician at both Sharp Chula Vista and Sharp Coronado. At Sharp Chula Vista, he served on the Site Management Team and led as Medical Director of Integrated Care Management. He also graduated from the Sharp Healthcare Physician Leadership Academy. He serves as Assistant Medical Director of Elite Health Care Services, providing support in home hospice settings.
