Dr. Michael Hobbs grew up in Nebraska and studied anthropology at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, drawn to the subject because of his deep interest in people. He attended medical school in Chicago, decided during those years that pediatrics was his calling, and then returned to Minnesota for his residency at the University of Minnesota. He has remained part of the Twin Cities pediatric community ever since, building more than two decades of experience caring for children from birth through college.

Dr. Hobbs holds subspecialty training in infectious diseases and conducted research in Group A Strep. He completed a mini-fellowship from The Reach Institute in patient-centered mental health care in pediatric primary care.
