Dr. Melinda MarzolfDO

Family Medicine

at Balance Integrated Health — Montrose, CO

About

Dr. Melinda Marzolf earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine. She holds board certification in both Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. She also carries additional certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine. These three disciplines form the clinical foundation she brings to every patient relationship.

Dr. Marzolf has practiced primary care for over a decade, caring for patients of all ages. She pursued Lifestyle Medicine certification after recognizing that her own habits, including a high-stress schedule and poor sleep, were steering her health in a dangerous direction. That personal reckoning deepened her drive to guide patients well beyond standard advice. She pursued Functional Medicine training to help patients whose fatigue, mood changes, weight gain, and joint pain had gone unaddressed elsewhere. Growing up in Pennsylvania, she spent many childhood hours at the hospital with her mother, who managed Type 1 diabetes. That experience drew her to osteopathic medicine and whole-person care. She moved to Colorado in 2012 and has wanted to be a physician since she was five years old. The Montrose Daily Press recognized her as Best Physician for three consecutive years and Best Women's Health Physician in 2025. Outside the clinic, she and her husband raise Highland cattle at Diamond Mesa Ranch alongside three children, more than 30 chickens, three dogs, and two cats.
