Dr. Maura McLaughlin grew up in a small town in Illinois and went on to study at Georgetown University before earning her medical degree from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine residency at the University of Virginia, where she served as Chief Resident from 2005 to 2006. After residency, she completed a Faculty Development Fellowship at UVA and joined its faculty. There, she cared for patients of all ages at Stoney Creek Family Medicine while teaching UVA medical students and residents.
