Dr. Leah Jacobson has practiced pediatric medicine in San Antonio for over 20 years. She grew up in College Station, Texas, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University. She then attended medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and completed her pediatric residency in San Antonio as well. After residency, she joined UT-Health's downtown pediatric clinic before transitioning to small-group private practice in 2003. She remained in that setting until December 2022, when she launched Personal Pediatrics as a Direct Primary Care practice.
Dr. Jacobson holds board certification from the American Board of Pediatrics and earned fellowship status in the American Academy of Pediatrics. She takes a hands-on, holistic approach to child health. She partners with parents to build individualized care plans and long-term relationships. In 2017, she contributed monthly articles to SA Medicine Magazine covering topics including volunteerism, child abuse, women's health, and legislative affairs. She actively participates in the Texas Medical Association, Bexar County Medical Society, Texas Pediatric Society, and San Antonio Pediatric Society. At home, she is married to her husband Trey and they have three children, a daughter-in-law, and a corgi named Kenzie. She enjoys cooking, baking, puzzles, and traveling.
