Dr. Julie Schroeder is a board-certified family medicine physician and the founder of Life & Family Medical in Bettendorf, Iowa. She grew up in the suburbs of Salt Lake City, Utah, and headed back to the Midwest for college at Valparaiso University in Indiana. She earned her medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. Her residency in family medicine took place at the Genesis Family Medicine Residency Program in the Quad Cities, the region she has called home ever since.

Dr. Schroeder has practiced outpatient family medicine in the Quad Cities for over 20 years, serving patients on both the Iowa and Illinois sides of the river. She cares for the whole person, integrating physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being into every patient relationship. Her faith shapes her clinical values; she follows Catholic medical directives, supports natural family planning, and advocates for the dignity of life from conception to natural death. Outside the clinic, she and her husband Jay have raised three children in Bettendorf and remain active members of Our Savior Lutheran Church. An avid traveler, Dr. Schroeder has served on medical mission trips to the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and Peru.
