About
Josh Pepper, MD, MS is a second-generation family medicine physician with five generations of Bay Area roots. He grew up in Marin and Fresno and studied Civil and Environmental Engineering at UC Berkeley. He completed his MD at UCSF School of Medicine through the UC Berkeley-UCSF Joint Medical Program. His master's thesis mapped the relationship between air quality and asthma. He graduated as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society and earned recognition as a Pisacano Leadership Scholar. He completed his residency at UCSF, caring for an underserved urban population at San Francisco General Hospital.
After residency, Dr. Pepper worked as a hospitalist in the East Bay, then moved to full-time primary care at Panoramic Medicine in Mill Valley. There he managed a panel of 2,500 patients and served as Medical Director. He has served as UCSF faculty for the Healer's Art course and as a medical preceptor at UC Berkeley's student-run Suitcase Clinic. His clinical interests include preventive medicine, office-based procedures, reproductive health, addiction medicine, and palliative care. He gravitates toward areas where the patient-provider relationship guides the path forward. Outside the office, Dr. Pepper enjoys gardening, cooking, and hiking Mt. Tam and the High Sierra.
