Joanna Rulf, DO, MSCP brings more than a decade of clinical experience to Fulcrum Family Health, where she focuses on integrative medicine, menopause care, osteopathic manipulation, and medical acupuncture. She earned her BA in English Literature from Rutgers University, spending a year studying and playing soccer at the University of Sussex in the UK before pursuing medicine. She completed her medical degree at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford and her Family Medicine residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Dr. Rulf completed a fellowship through the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona, finishing the program at Maine Medical Center. She holds board certification in Family Medicine and the Menopause Society Certified Practitioner credential. She also earned certification in Medical Acupuncture for Physicians through the Helms Medical Institute. Dr. Rulf is passionate about osteopathic philosophy, acupuncture, women's health, and tick-borne illness. Outside the clinic, she enjoys cooking, live music, camping, biking, and yoga.
