About
Dr. Jeff O'Boyle grew up outside Chicago and earned his medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 2014. He completed his family medicine residency at Beaumont Hospital in Wayne, Michigan. His experience going uninsured throughout all four years of medical school shaped his conviction that healthcare must be affordable and accessible. That conviction led him to found Beyond Primary Care as a direct primary care practice.
Dr. O'Boyle holds board certification in family medicine through both the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine. He also earned board certification in addiction medicine from the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He uses buprenorphine products including Suboxone and Zubsolv for opioid dependence and has extensive experience with The Sinclair Method using naltrexone for alcohol dependence. As a fourth-year medical student, he presented research on HPV vaccine messaging for LGBT young adults at both GLMA and ACOFP conferences. He lists with the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association as a local physician, and Beyond Primary Care welcomes LGBTQ patients. Patients know him as Dr. Jeff. Outside the office, he enjoys mountain biking, cooking, vegetable gardening, and audiobooks spanning science fantasy and classic fiction. He and his wife Amanda have two sons, Ogden and Beckett.
