Dr. Jason Moulton founded Pulse Direct Care with a clear personal vision: to practice medicine the way a rural country doctor once did. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science at Brigham Young University, then completed his Doctor of Osteopathy at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler. Recognized as a Rural Scholar through the Rural Osteopathic Medical Education program at UNTHSC, he pursued additional training in rural medicine, emergency medicine, procedures, and osteopathic manipulation technique. He holds board certification in Family Medicine through the ABFM and certification as a Cranial Sacral Therapist through the Upledger Institute. Dr. Moulton is fluent in Spanish.
His clinical interests include hypertension, diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, migraines, back and neck pain, torticollis, infant colic, skin conditions, and hormone disorders. He and his wife Amanda, along with their ten children, have called Gilmer home for the past seven years. Outside the clinic, he enjoys farming, welding, paintball, and fishing. He practices alongside his brother, Dr. Josiah Moulton, and takes deep satisfaction in serving Upshur County and the surrounding communities together.
