Dr. J. Ashley Parker grew up in Roanoke Rapids, NC and earned a BS in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1994. He went on to East Carolina University School of Medicine, graduating in 2000 as a NC Rural Health Scholar and Alpha Omega Alpha honors graduate. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA in 2003. 5 years at Rocky Mount Family Medical Center before co-founding Freedom Family Medicine with his wife.
Dr. Parker holds a special interest in office orthopedics. He performs a wide range of joint injections, including cortisone injections for the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee, and also performs vasectomies.
