Dr. Harry Albers has earned recognition as one of San Diego's most prominent internal medicine physicians over a career spanning more than 30 years. San Diego magazine has named him a Top Doctor multiple times. He grounds his practice in individualized, thorough, patient-centered care.
Dr. Albers graduated summa cum laude as salutatorian from San Diego State University with a BS in Biology. He then earned his MD with honors from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at UC San Diego Medical Center, rising to Chief Resident. He joined the full-time faculty at UCSD as assistant professor of internal medicine before moving to Scripps Clinic. At Scripps, he served as internal medicine site director and Associate VP for Quality Assurance and Continuous Quality Improvement. He later led the concierge program at Scripps as division head for nearly eight years. For close to 20 years, he also served as the lead internal medicine physician for the San Diego Padres Major League Baseball Club. He holds board certification in internal medicine.
