Dr. Fausto Petruzziello graduated summa cum laude from La Sapienza University in Rome, where he also completed a residency in General Surgery. Born and raised in Rome, he served as a Medical Officer and First Lieutenant within the Mounted State Police, carrying responsibility for the health of the President of Italy. He moved to the United States in 1995 to complete an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Massachusetts.
In 1998, Dr. Petruzziello relocated to Connecticut and co-founded Family Practice and Internal Medicine of Spring Glen. He later established CareMEDICA in 2007, followed by LaserMEDICA and WeightMEDICA. He launched the CareMEDICA Elite concierge membership in 2015, beginning with 150 carefully selected patients. He has authored more than 30 research articles in Gastrointestinal Surgery, Antibiotic Therapy, and Geriatric Medicine, published in both Italian and international medical journals.
