Dr. Elliott Calvert grew up in Irmo, South Carolina, with deep roots in the state's low country. He earned a BS in Bioengineering from Clemson University before earning his MD from the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his Family Medicine residency at AnMed in Anderson, South Carolina, graduating as a board-certified family physician.
During medical school, Dr. Calvert developed a conviction that primary care is where the most consequential work in medicine happens. He is passionate about preventive medicine, viewing disease prevention as the central purpose of primary care.
