Dr. Darin Charles is a board-certified family physician who has served the Mansfield community since 2006. He earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He then completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Tyler, one of the top programs in the state, where his peers elected him Chief Resident and faculty named him Resident of the Year.
Before founding Hometown Health, Dr. Charles joined Methodist Medical Group shortly before the opening of Methodist Mansfield Medical Center. He grew his practice from zero to thousands of families and served as Associate Chief Medical Information Officer of Methodist Health System. He also chaired multiple boards and served on the Medical Executive Committee during the hospital's formative years. The Fort Worth Business Press recognized him as a Healthcare Hero, and both the Fort Worth Hospital Council and D CEO Magazine nominated him for Physician of the Year. His clinical passions include chronic disease management, preventive medicine, infectious disease, and nutrition. Away from the office, he is a husband and father of three, an active member of First Methodist Church of Mansfield, and a committed supporter of Mansfield ISD health initiatives. He and his wife Dana are both proud Mansfield High School graduates.
