Dr. Creighton Shute grew up in Opelousas, Louisiana, and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He went on to complete his medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Georgia Campus. His Family Medicine residency took place at Fort Benning, Georgia, while he served on active duty in the United States Army.
Dr. Shute holds board certification in Family Medicine and brings experience in both military and emergency medicine to his practice. He served a combined ten years on active duty, first in the Navy after high school and later as an Army physician. After returning to Lafayette in 2014, he founded Elite DPC to eliminate barriers between physician and patient. He is passionate about antibiotic stewardship, hormone health, and managing ADHD. He lives in Lafayette with his wife Jennifer and their seven children.
