About
Dr. Christine White is a board-certified pediatrician and the founder of Freedom Pediatrics in Overland Park, Kansas. A Kansas native, she studied biology at the University of Kansas before earning her medical degree from KU Medical School. She completed her pediatrics residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2000 and has practiced general pediatrics ever since.
Dr. White chose pediatrics because kids want to be healthy, and she wanted to teach patients and families the habits that keep them that way. She is passionate about integrative and functional medicine. She prioritizes finding root causes and exploring non-medication approaches before prescribing. Nutrition, sleep, hydration, exercise, outdoor time, and stress management are central tools in her clinical work. Outside the office, she spends time with her husband, four daughters, and three dogs. She enjoys dog park visits, learning about functional medicine, and good sleep. She plans to keep practicing well into her 70s because, as she puts it, she truly loves it.
