About
Dr. Charlene DeLuca brings internal medicine and sports medicine together in a solo concierge practice she built from years of experience across two very different clinical worlds. She completed both her Medical Residency and Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Brown University School of Medicine. With more than 20 years of practice, she has cared for patients in Naples since 2006.
Before moving to Florida, Dr. DeLuca ran a private internal medicine and sports medicine practice in Arlington, Virginia. During that period, she served as a volunteer physician in the emergency room at Virginia Hospital Center during the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon. She also performed annual executive physicals and managed job injuries for the FBI Washington Field Office, CIA, Department of Defense, Department of Agriculture, and Police and Fire departments. Her sports medicine work extended to Team Physician roles for the Washington, DC Marine Corps Marathon, the Washington, DC AIDS Ride, and a consulting position with the AHL Providence Bruins and NHL Boston Bruins Hockey Organization during her fellowship at Brown. She also served as Assistant Team Physician for the United States Figure Skating Championships. In Naples, she served as Chairman and then Vice Chairman for the Department of Medicine at Physicians Regional health care system before opening her concierge practice. Today, Dr. DeLuca focuses on middle-aged and aging adults, including what she calls weekend warriors and active seniors. She describes herself as an aging athlete and brings personal insight to fitness after 50, hormonal health, and nutritional changes that affect long-term wellness.
