About

Dr. Carol Rupe has practiced family medicine since 1987, bringing over three decades of clinical experience to WellCraft Health in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame and her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine. Her residency training took place at Malcolm Grow Medical Center on Andrews Air Force Base, where she later served as a Residency Instructor. She then completed a Family Practice Faculty Development fellowship at UNC Chapel Hill.

S. Air Force officer from 1984 to 1993 and earned a spot as a Flight Crew family physician for Air Force One. After her military service, she ran a private family medicine practice in Charlotte with four family nurse practitioners and a physician assistant. She also served as Medical Director for multiple long-term care facilities from 1994 to 2015 and holds recognition as a national expert in family medicine across more than 30 states. A breast cancer survivor herself, Dr. Rupe brings a deeply personal perspective to patient care. She holds additional training in Age Enhancement Medicine through Cenegenics, Botox and Dermal Fillers through the Esthetics Institute, and IPL therapy through Palomar Technologies. Her clinical passions include women's health, geriatrics, chronic disease prevention, and hormone health. She currently serves as the Physician Representative on the Halifax County Board of Health.
