Dr. Fleming manages a broad range of primary care conditions. Her clinical focus includes chronic disease management, depression, anxiety, attention deficit disorder, menopause, and women's health. She also handles well child care, travel medicine, and minor procedures such as laceration repair, skin biopsies, cryotherapy, and small joint injections.

Yes. Dr. Fleming has spent nearly 10 years practicing medicine on Orcas Island. Before founding Salish Sea Medical, she served as Interim Medical Director and Family and Women's Health Physician at UW Medicine Orcas Island. She understands the particular health needs that come with living in a remote island environment.

Dr. Fleming earned her medical degree from Albany Medical College in New York. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Saint Anthony's in Denver through the University of Colorado. She also completed a Women's Health Fellowship at the University of Michigan and two Faculty Development Fellowships. She holds an MBA from Auburn University.

Yes. Dr. Fleming makes herself available to members after office hours by phone and telemedicine for urgent issues. If an in-person visit is needed, she does her best to accommodate and will refer to a local emergency room or urgent care when appropriate.

Yes. Dr. Fleming offers home visits when appropriate for her members. She also reaches patients by phone, text, and email in addition to in-office appointments.

Dr. Fleming holds medical staff privileges at Island Hospital, Skagit Regional Health, UW Medicine, and Swedish. She developed working relationships with these institutions during her career as a family medicine physician and faculty member. She uses those connections to coordinate the best referrals for her patients.

Yes. Dr. Fleming provides mental health care for depression, anxiety, and attention deficit disorder as part of her membership services. This care falls within her primary care scope and carries no additional co-pay for members.

Dr. Fleming performs a range of minor procedures in her office. These include laceration repair, skin biopsies, splinter removal, abscess drainage, cryotherapy, ear lavage, small joint injections, and gynecologic procedures. Medications required for these procedures are included in the membership.

Yes. Dr. Fleming provides well child care as part of her family medicine services. She sees patients of all ages, from infants through adults, and welcomes whole-family enrollment.

Yes. Women's health is a central part of Dr. Fleming's practice. She completed a Women's Health Fellowship at the University of Michigan and offers menopause management, lactation support, and reproductive health care. The OISHA clinic, which she hosts at Salish Sea Medical, also provides sexual and reproductive health services to the broader community.
