Dr. Bryant Ward grew up in Hendersonville, North Carolina, spending his youth hiking the forests of Western NC and earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He studied Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, then completed medical school at Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, graduating at the top of his class. Brody is well known for training primary care physicians to serve rural communities. He completed his Family Medicine residency at the Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville, a program recognized for broad-spectrum training.

After residency, Dr. Ward served as a medical missionary with Samaritan's Purse at a small hospital in Togo, West Africa. He then moved to Boone in 2017 and worked as a hospitalist at Watauga Medical Center. He holds board certification in Family Medicine and actively pursues functional medicine certification.
