Dr. Brittany Hattier grew up in Statesville, North Carolina and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from East Carolina University in Greenville. During her undergraduate years she worked extensively on breast cancer research and completed an internship at the National Cancer Institute within the National Institutes of Health. She went on to attend Lincoln Memorial University's DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. Her Family Medicine residency took her to Michigan, where she earned election as Chief Resident in her senior year. She completed that training in 2017 and holds board certification in Family Medicine. She practices both adult and pediatric medicine.

After residency, Dr. Hattier moved to Louisiana with her husband and joined North Oaks Hospital System as an outpatient primary care physician. Her goal has always been to bring medicine back to its core: learning each patient's story and building individualized treatment around their specific needs. She joined Vieux Care to pursue that goal with the time and access the DPC model allows.
