He completed a four-year family medicine residency at Maine Medical Center, where he was selected to stay on as chief resident. He then pursued a fellowship in integrative medicine through Maine Medical Center and the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. Before founding Maine Integrative Family Care, he spent three years in Oxford County delivering primary and integrative care to rural Mainers.
