About

Dr. Ashley Weil earned her medical degree from the University of South Alabama Whiddon College of Medicine and completed both her internship and family medicine residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Huntsville. She finished her residency in 2015 and holds board certification from the American Board of Family Medicine. Earlier in her training, she received the Gold Humanism Award in 2011. She also served as Medical Director for Mercy Life of Alabama from 2022 to 2024.

Dr. Weil traces her love of medicine back to age three, when time spent with her grandfather, a pediatrician, first sparked that interest. She originally planned to become a pediatrician herself. Exposure to adult patients during medical school drew her toward family medicine, a specialty that lets her see patients from two weeks old through every decade of life. She brings a partnership philosophy to every visit, believing that trust and mutual respect sit at the core of good care. Her clinical interests include marathon training support, nutrition improvement, fall risk reduction, and thoughtful medication management. Outside the office, she enjoys kayaking, swimming, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
