About

Dr. Ashley Parks grew up in Upstate South Carolina and graduated from Riverside High School before earning a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Italian from Emory University. She then earned her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2011, graduating as Valedictorian of her class. Her academic honors include Alpha Omega Alpha, the Henry Tracy Ivy Award, and the AMWA Glasgow Rubin Certificate.

Dr. Parks completed an Internal Medicine internship and her Dermatology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where she served as Chief Resident of Education. She volunteered at skin cancer screenings and presented at state and national dermatology meetings during her training. She holds board certification in Dermatology since 2015 and is both a Fellow and Diplomate of the American Academy and American Board of Dermatology, respectively. She also holds membership in the South Carolina Medical Association. Dr. Parks specializes in thorough full-body skin examinations and skin cancer screening, and she is deeply passionate about prevention, early detection, and timely treatment. She returned to the Upstate in 2015 and has been serving the region ever since. Outside the office, she and her husband Dr. Lyle Parks raise three young children. She enjoys Starbucks cold brew, traveling, and watching live performances.
