Ann Riggs, DO, grew up in Warrensburg, Missouri and graduated valedictorian from Warrensburg High School in 1994. She attended Brigham Young University on both academic and athletic scholarships, competing in the women's basketball program, and earned a BS in Zoology. She then returned to Kansas City to attend the Kansas City University of Medical Biosciences, graduating in the top 15% of her class. There she served as President of the National Honors Fraternity Sigma Sigma Phi.
