About

Dr. Amy Capoocia earned her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003 from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Family Practice residency at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Reading, PA. She holds board certification in both Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment. In 2015, she earned her Fellow designation in Family Medicine through the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. She added a second Fellowship in Health Policy in 2018.

Dr. Capoocia grew up in the Glenmoore area and founded Ludwig's Village Family Medicine to serve her home community. Her training covers the full spectrum of Family Medicine: infant and child care, women's health, general adult medicine, geriatrics, and dermatology. She carries additional training in perimenopause, menopause, and sexual health. She is well versed in multiple sports and martial arts and understands how athletes get hurt and what it takes to return them to play.
