About
Dr. Amanda Pennington earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine in 1991. She then completed her Family Medicine residency at Wake Forest/Bowman Gray School of Medicine. She holds board certification in Family Medicine and brings more than 30 years of clinical experience to her patients.
After years in a large corporate practice, Dr. Pennington wanted to build something different. She founded Pennington Primary Care in Rock Hill in 2016 to restore a genuine, direct relationship between doctor and patient. She views that relationship as a team working toward shared healthcare goals. Dr. Pennington and her husband, Dr. Larry Pennington, a gastroenterologist at Digestive Disease Associates, have called Rock Hill home since 1998. She has three children and has stayed involved in their scholastic and athletic lives. She also serves on several local boards and remains an active member of the Rock Hill community.
