Dr. Alan Barnes grew up in Cartersville, Georgia, and has spent his career building a practice in the community where he was raised. S. in Biological Science from The University of Georgia before heading to the Midwest for medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He returned to Georgia to complete his residency at the Floyd Family Medicine program in Rome, training in both outpatient and inpatient settings. During that time, he delivered babies, assisted in surgeries, cared for patients across all age groups, and developed proficiency in a broad range of medical procedures. In 2016, he earned board certification as a Family Physician in Georgia.
After residency, Dr. Barnes worked at a local urgent care and primary care clinic in Cartersville.
