About
Dr. Ageena Hass earned her medical degree from Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine in May 2022. She began her Family Medicine residency with the Cherokee Nation in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, that July. In her third year of residency, she holds a full medical license in Oklahoma and pursues licensure in Arkansas as well.
Her path to medicine was anything but conventional. Dr. Hass returned to school at 48 to finish her bachelor's degree, then spent a year working urgent care in St. Louis before entering medical school. She worked earlier in her life in gas stations, factories, and wastewater treatment plants, and helped her mother launch a tax business. Caring for her adopted son John, who had significant medical needs, became her most formative training. He taught her to look at the person first, before the chart or the lab values. That lesson shapes every patient encounter at Your Best Health. Her clinical passions include Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Kinesio Taping, mind-body work, chronic pain management, Alpha-gal syndrome, prenatal care, and chronic disease management. She and her husband Mark, who serves as Practice Manager, share a faith-rooted belief that caring for others is the central calling of their lives.
